BarCARE provides compassionate, hands-on assistance with daily personal care activities to help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Our trained caregivers assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, transfers, meal assistance, continence care, medication reminders, and other Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), while treating every client with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Personal Hygiene

  • Assistance with bathing (shower, tub, sponge bath)
  • Oral hygiene (brushing teeth, denture care)
  • Hair care and grooming
  • Shaving (using an electric razor if permitted by agency policy)
  • Skin care (applying non-medicated lotions)
  • Nail care (filing and cleaning only; no cutting toenails if prohibited by state regulations)
  • Dressing and undressing

Toileting and Continence Care

  • Assistance to and from the bathroom
  • Incontinence care
  • Changing adult briefs
  • Emptying bedside commodes or urinals
  • Perineal care after toileting

Mobility and Transfers

  • Assistance with walking and ambulation
  • Help getting in and out of bed
  • Assistance transferring to and from a chair or wheelchair
  • Positioning and turning to improve comfort and reduce pressure injuries
  • Fall prevention assistance

Eating and Nutrition

  • Meal setup
  • Feeding assistance when the client is unable to feed themselves
  • Encouraging hydration

Medication Assistance

  • Remind clients to take medications
